Terms and Conditions
1. About these Terms
1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the websites jacquelinenonweiler.com and jacquelinenonweiler.as.me (together, the "Website"), and any session, class, course, workshop, membership, digital product or other service booked, purchased or delivered through them or otherwise arranged with me (together, the "Services").
1.2 In these Terms, "I", "me" and "my" mean Dr. Jacqueline Nonweiler, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading under the names Dr. Jacqueline Nonweiler and Sanctuary Healing Centre, contactable at jackie@sanctuaryhealingcentre.com. "You" and "your" mean the person using the Website or booking, purchasing or receiving the Services.
1.3 By booking or purchasing any Service, or by continuing to use the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms — and in particular Sections 3, 4, 5 and 6, which set out what my Services are and what they are not. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not book, purchase or use the Services.
1.4 These Terms apply to every booking, including bookings made directly with me by email, message or in person, and bookings made through any scheduling or payment platform I use (including Acuity Scheduling at jacquelinenonweiler.as.me and Stripe).
1.5 I may ask you to sign or acknowledge a separate disclaimer, consent form or intake agreement before certain Services. Where I do, that document applies in addition to these Terms. If there is any conflict between these Terms and a signed document specific to your Services, the signed document takes precedence for the Services it covers.
2. Definitions
"Lineage Healing Services" means the modalities I am certified to deliver as a practitioner within the Modern Mystery School lineage, including Life Activation, Full Spirit Activation, Sacred Geometry, Astral Travel, Empower Thyself and related lineage-based sessions and classes.
"Independent Services" means all other Services, including my own proprietary programmes, courses, memberships, workshops, digital products, speaking engagements, and one-to-one sessions concerned with subconscious patterns, relational patterns, emotional wellbeing and non-clinical psychological support.
"Subconscious Patterns Session" means a one-to-one Independent Service in which we explore recurring emotional, behavioural or relational patterns. It is a non-clinical, educational and reflective process. It is not psychotherapy, counselling, psychological treatment or medical care.
3. The nature of my work: what I am, and what I am not
This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read it carefully.
3.1 My professional background
3.1.1 I hold a PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology and I work as a research psychologist in an academic setting. My academic work involves research into mental health and psychological science. My professional experience and academic knowledge inform the way I work, and that is the extent of their role in my Services.
3.1.2 My doctorate is a research degree. Although its title includes the word "clinical", it is not a professional clinical training qualification, it is not a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy), and it does not confer any licence, registration or entitlement to practise clinically, to assess, to diagnose or to treat.
3.1.3 "Psychologist" and "research psychologist" are not protected titles in the United Kingdom. Holding a doctorate in psychology and working as a researcher does not make a person a clinician, and it does not mean I am qualified, registered or permitted to provide clinical or medical care.
3.2 What I am not
I am not, and I do not hold myself out to be, any of the following:
- a psychiatrist or any other kind of medical doctor;
- a clinical psychologist, counselling psychologist, educational psychologist, forensic psychologist, health psychologist or any other practitioner psychologist — these are titles protected by law in the UK and restricted to practitioners registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I am not registered with the HCPC and I do not practise as a practitioner psychologist.
- a psychotherapist, counsellor, CBT therapist or other registered talking-therapy practitioner;
- a nurse, social worker, dietitian or other regulated health or social care professional;
- a provider of any service regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the NHS, or any statutory health regulator.
3.3 I do not diagnose, treat or prescribe
3.3.1 I do not diagnose, and cannot diagnose, any mental health condition, neurodevelopmental condition, physical illness or disorder of any kind. Nothing I say to you in a session, in writing, on the Website, or in any course or material is a diagnosis, a diagnostic opinion, a screening result, or a clinical assessment — even where I use psychological language, refer to research, or discuss recognised conditions in general terms.
3.3.2 I do not provide treatment for any mental health or medical condition. My Services are not therapy, psychotherapy, counselling, psychological intervention, crisis intervention or medical care.
3.3.3 I do not prescribe, recommend, adjust, endorse or advise on any medication, supplement, dosage or medical procedure. You should never start, stop, reduce or change any prescribed medication or treatment on the basis of anything arising in a session with me, or anything found on the Website. Only your prescriber or treating clinician can advise you on that.
3.3.4 Where I use a questionnaire, assessment, quiz, inventory or similar tool (including on the Website or within a course), it is used for reflection, education and self-awareness only. It is not a validated clinical instrument used for clinical purposes, it produces no diagnosis, and its output has no clinical meaning.
3.4 Support, not clinical care
3.4.1 The support I offer is non-clinical mental health and wellbeing support, drawn from my training, research background and practitioner experience. It is educational, reflective and supportive in nature.
3.4.2 My Services do not replace, substitute for, or stand in place of assessment, diagnosis, treatment or advice from a qualified medical or clinical professional, including your GP, psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, therapist or other treating clinician.
3.4.3 If you have or suspect you may have a mental or physical health condition, you should seek advice from a suitably qualified and registered healthcare professional. I actively encourage you to do so, and I will always encourage you to remain engaged with any clinical care you are already receiving. Nothing in my Services should be taken as a reason to delay, decline, discontinue or disregard clinical care.
3.5 Independent of my academic employer
3.5.1 My Services are provided by me in a personal, independent capacity as a sole trader. They are not provided by, on behalf of, endorsed by, supervised by, or in any way connected to any university, research institution, hospital, NHS body or academic employer with which I am or have been associated, including in respect of my research role.
3.5.2 No research study, research funding, research ethics approval, institutional insurance or institutional governance framework applies to my Services. If you take part in research with me in my academic capacity, that is an entirely separate matter governed by its own participant information, consent process and ethical approval, and it is not covered by these Terms.
4. Modern Mystery School: relationship and non-affiliation
4.1 I am a Certified Healer, Teacher, Life Activation Practitioner and Ritual Master within the Modern Mystery School lineage. That certification permits me to deliver the Lineage Healing Services defined in Section 2.
4.2 Lineage Healing Services. When you book a Lineage Healing Service, I deliver it as an independent, self-employed practitioner certified in that modality. Modern Mystery School UK/EU, Modern Mystery School International and any of their affiliated schools, teachers, entities, directors or officers (together, "MMS") are not a party to your contract with me. Your contract is with me alone. MMS does not employ me, supervise my private practice, hold my client records, or accept any responsibility or liability for the Services I provide or for any outcome of them. Any complaint, dispute, refund request or claim arising from a Service you book with me is to be raised with me in the first instance, under Section 16 of these Terms.
4.3 Independent Services are entirely outside the lineage. My Independent Services — including all Subconscious Patterns Sessions, my own proprietary programmes, courses, memberships, digital products and non-clinical psychological support — are my own work. They are:
- not Modern Mystery School modalities;
- not taught, licensed, certified, accredited, approved, supervised or endorsed by MMS;
- not affiliated with MMS in any way;
- not delivered under any MMS curriculum, standard, insurance, code of conduct or complaints process.
They are offered by Dr. Jacqueline Nonweiler, and by me only. MMS bears no responsibility or liability of any kind in respect of them.
4.4 No agency, no endorsement. Nothing in my marketing, on the Website, on social media, or in our correspondence should be read as suggesting that I speak for MMS, act as its agent, or that MMS endorses my Independent Services. Where I mention my lineage certification, I do so to describe my own training and nothing more. Equally, nothing about my lineage certification implies clinical qualification, and nothing about my academic background implies MMS endorsement.
4.5 Booking more than one type of Service. You may choose to book both Lineage Healing Services and Independent Services with me. Where you do, they remain distinct Services under these Terms, and the distinctions in Sections 3 and 4 apply to each in turn. I will tell you, at the point of booking and at the start of each session, which type of Service you are receiving. If at any point you are unsure what a session is, or in what capacity I am working with you, please ask me and I will tell you plainly.
4.6 Venue. Some in-person sessions, including Independent Services, take place at premises associated with the Modern Mystery School. The use of those premises is a venue arrangement only. It does not mean that a session held there is an MMS service, is delivered on behalf of MMS, or is in any way endorsed, supervised or insured by MMS. Where you receive an Independent Service at those premises, you are receiving it from me, in my own independent capacity, exactly as set out in Section 4.3.
5. Not for emergencies or crisis
5.1 My Services are not an emergency, crisis or urgent care service. I do not provide out-of-hours support, on-call cover, crisis response, risk assessment or safeguarding services. I do not monitor email, messages, social media or booking platforms for urgent contact, and messages may not be seen for some time.
5.2 If you are in crisis, if you are at risk of harming yourself or someone else, or if you need urgent help, do not contact me. Instead:
- call 999 (or your local emergency number) or go to your nearest A&E department;
- call NHS 111 and select the mental health option;
- call the Samaritans free, 24 hours a day, on 116 123;
- contact your GP or, if you have one, your crisis team.
5.3 If I believe you may be at risk, I may end or decline a session and direct you to appropriate emergency or clinical services. See also Section 11 on the limits of confidentiality.
6. Suitability, your responsibilities and my discretion
6.1 You are responsible for deciding whether my Services are appropriate for you, and for seeking clinical advice on that question if you are unsure.
6.2 By booking, you confirm that:
(a) you are 18 or over and have capacity to enter into this contract; (b) you understand, and accept, everything set out in Sections 3, 4 and 5; (c) you are not booking my Services in place of clinical care you have been advised to seek or continue; (d) any information you give me about your health, circumstances and current care is accurate and complete so far as you know it; (e) you will tell me if you are currently under the care of a GP, psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist or other clinician, and if that changes.
6.3 I may decline, pause or end a working relationship at my discretion, including where I consider that my Services are not appropriate for you, that your needs are better met by a regulated clinical professional, or that continuing would not be in your interests. Where I do this, I will say so respectfully, signpost you to more appropriate support where I can, and refund any fees paid for Services not yet delivered.
6.4 You remain responsible for your own choices, actions and wellbeing before, during and after any Service. I do not make decisions for you, and nothing I offer is an instruction.
6.5 No guarantee of outcome. Experiences of my Services vary from person to person. I make no promise, warranty or guarantee of any particular result, improvement, healing, insight or outcome, and nothing on the Website, in testimonials, case studies or marketing material should be taken as such a promise. Testimonials reflect individual experiences and are not representative of what any other person will experience.
7. Booking, fees and payment
7.1 Bookings are made through jacquelinenonweiler.as.me (Acuity Scheduling), through jacquelinenonweiler.com, or directly with me. A booking is confirmed only once you have received a confirmation from me or from the booking platform.
7.2 Prices are as displayed at the time of booking and are in pounds sterling (£ GBP). I am not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on my Services. Where a price is displayed in another currency, your payment provider's conversion rate and any charges apply.
7.3 Payment is taken in full at the time of booking, unless a payment plan has been agreed with me in writing in advance.
7.4 Payment plans. Where a payment plan is agreed, it is a legally binding agreement between you and me for the full price of the Service, not a series of separate optional payments. By entering into a payment plan you agree that:
(a) you owe the full price of the Service from the date of booking, and the plan is a schedule for paying that sum rather than a reduction of it; (b) cancelling, disputing, reversing or stopping an instalment, or the expiry or cancellation of the card or mandate used, does not cancel your obligation to pay the balance; (c) the full outstanding balance becomes immediately payable if an instalment remains unpaid more than 7 days after its due date; (d) I may suspend your access to sessions, materials, portals or membership content while an account is in arrears, without extending the term or refunding what has been paid; (e) I may recover unpaid sums, together with reasonable costs of recovery and statutory interest where applicable, as a debt.
7.5 Card details and payment processing. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, including Stripe and Acuity Scheduling. Where you book a recurring Service, a membership or a payment plan, your card details are held on file by those providers under your authorisation so that scheduled payments can be taken. Card data is stored and processed by those providers on their secure, PCI-compliant systems. You may withdraw authorisation for future payments at any time by contacting me at jackie@sanctuaryhealingcentre.com, but doing so does not end any outstanding payment obligation under Section 7.4.
7.6 Where sessions take place. Sessions are delivered, as specified at the time of booking:
- in person at Modern Mystery School UK/EU, 4 Celbridge Mews, London W2 6EU (see Section 4.6 on the status of that venue);
- online via Zoom or WhatsApp; or
- by telephone.
7.7 You are responsible for your own device, connection and for being in a private, safe and quiet space for online and telephone sessions.
8. Cancellation, rescheduling and lateness (by you)
8.1 To cancel or reschedule, please use the link in your booking confirmation or contact me at jackie@sanctuaryhealingcentre.com.
8.2 I do not offer refunds. Fees paid are non-refundable. This is subject to your statutory rights, which are not affected — see Section 10 (your legal right to cancel) and Section 9 (cancellation by me).
8.3 More than 48 hours' notice: you may reschedule your session to a mutually convenient alternative date at no additional charge.
8.4 Less than 48 hours' notice: the fee for that session is non-refundable. I may, entirely at my discretion and on a case-by-case basis, agree to exchange the session for a future date or for another Service of equivalent value. Any such agreement is a goodwill gesture, applies only to the booking in question, and does not create a right to the same in future.
8.5 Non-attendance ("no-show"): if you do not attend and have not given notice, the full fee is payable and is non-refundable, and no exchange is offered.
8.6 Lateness: sessions start and end at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, we will use the remaining time and the full fee remains payable.
8.7 I may relax the above at my discretion in cases of genuine emergency, bereavement or illness. Doing so on one occasion does not oblige me to do so on another.
9. Cancellation and rescheduling by me
9.1 If I need to cancel or reschedule a session, I will give you as much notice as I reasonably can and will offer you an alternative date or a full refund of fees paid for that session, at your choice.
9.2 I am not liable for any other loss you may incur as a result of a cancellation or rescheduling by me, including travel or accommodation costs, save as set out in Section 17.
10. Your legal right to cancel (distance contracts)
10.1 Where you are a consumer and you book or purchase online, by phone or otherwise at a distance, you generally have the right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract and receive a refund. To exercise this right, tell me in writing at jackie@sanctuaryhealingcentre.com within that period.
10.2 Services started within the 14-day period. If you ask me to begin delivering a Service during the 14-day cancellation period and the Service is then fully performed within that period, you lose the right to cancel. If the Service is partly performed, I may deduct an amount proportionate to what has been delivered.
10.3 Digital content and downloads. Where you purchase digital content (such as a downloadable workbook, audio course or recorded material) and you ask for immediate access, you acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once download or streaming has begun.
10.4 Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to services carried out with reasonable care and skill.
11. Confidentiality and its limits
11.1 What you share with me in a session is treated as confidential and is not shared with others, except as set out below.
11.2 I am not bound by, and do not operate under, the confidentiality and record-keeping framework of a regulated clinical service. My confidentiality is a professional commitment I make to you under these Terms, not a statutory clinical duty.
11.3 I may break confidentiality without your consent where I reasonably believe it is necessary:
(a) because there is a risk of serious harm to you or to another person, including a child or vulnerable adult; (b) to prevent or report a serious crime, or where disclosure is required by law, court order or a statutory body; (c) to comply with safeguarding obligations.
Wherever it is safe and practicable to do so, I will tell you first.
11.4 I may discuss my work in anonymised form for supervision, professional development, training or teaching purposes, in a way that does not identify you. I will always ask for your separate, explicit written permission before using any identifiable material — including any testimonial, quote, case study or story — in marketing or public content.
11.5 Recording. Please do not record any session without my prior written consent. I will not record any session without yours.
12. Data protection
12.1 I am the data controller for personal data you provide in connection with the Services. I process it in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and in accordance with my Privacy Policy at jacquelinenonweiler.com/privacy-policy and in the footer of this website., which forms part of these Terms.
12.2 In short: I collect only what I need in order to provide the Services and to meet my legal obligations; I keep it securely; I retain session notes for 8 years from the date of our final session; I do not sell your data; and I share it only with service providers that help me run my practice (such as my scheduling, payment and email platforms) or where the law requires.
12.3 You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise them, or to complain, contact me at jackie@sanctuaryhealingcentre.com. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
13. Intellectual property
13.1 All content on the Website and in my courses, programmes, workbooks, recordings, frameworks and materials — including text, images, audio, video, brand names and logos — is owned by me or licensed to me, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
13.2 When you purchase a course, programme or digital product, you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, share, resell, redistribute, reproduce, publish, teach from, or create derivative works from my materials without my prior written permission.
13.3 Access credentials to any membership, course or portal are personal to you and must not be shared.
13.4 Lineage Healing Services, their names and associated materials remain the intellectual property of their respective owners within the Modern Mystery School lineage. Nothing in these Terms transfers any right in them to you, and nothing in these Terms permits you to teach, deliver or reproduce them.
14. The Website: general information only
14.1 Content on the Website, on my social media, in my newsletters and Substack, in podcasts, talks and free resources is provided for general information and education only. It is not personal advice of any kind — medical, clinical, psychological, therapeutic, legal or financial — and it does not create a practitioner-client relationship between us.
14.2 I aim to keep content accurate and current, but I give no warranty that it is complete, accurate or up to date, and I may change or remove it at any time without notice.
14.3 Where I reference research, I do so as an author writing in general terms. Research findings describe populations, not individuals, and should not be applied to your own circumstances without qualified advice.
14.4 The Website may link to third-party sites, platforms and resources. I do not control them, I do not endorse their content, and I am not responsible for them.
15. Conduct
15.1 I ask that you treat me, and any other participant in a group setting, with courtesy and respect. I may end a session, remove you from a group or membership, or decline further bookings, without refund, in cases of abusive, threatening, discriminatory or disruptive behaviour, or attendance while under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.
16. Complaints
16.1 If you are unhappy with any aspect of my Services, please tell me directly at jackie@sanctuaryhealingcentre.com and I will acknowledge your complaint within [5] working days and respond substantively within [21] days.
16.2 Because I am not a regulated clinical practitioner, there is no statutory professional regulator to whom a complaint about my Services can be made.
17. Limitation of liability
17.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
17.2 Subject to 17.1, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
(a) I am not liable for any decision you take, or do not take, in relation to your health, medical treatment, medication, relationships, finances, work or any other matter, whether or not it arises from a session or from Website content. Those decisions remain yours. (b) I am not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on my Services as a substitute for clinical, medical, psychological or other professional care, or from any delay in seeking such care. (c) I am not liable for any deterioration in your mental or physical health, save to the extent directly caused by my own negligence. (d) I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of anticipated savings. (e) My total liability to you in connection with any Service is limited to the total fees you paid me for that Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
17.3 Where you are a business or booking in a business capacity, liability under 17.2(e) applies and nothing in these Terms is intended to confer rights on any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, save that MMS may rely on Section 4.
18. Indemnity
18.1 If you use my Services or materials in breach of these Terms — including by reproducing or teaching my materials, or by presenting yourself as trained, certified or supervised by me — you agree to indemnify me against any claim, loss or cost arising from that breach.
19. General
19.1 Changes. I may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the version published on the Website at the date of your booking or purchase, and material changes will be notified where I hold your contact details.
19.2 Severance. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
19.3 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with my Privacy Policy and any signed disclaimer, consent or intake form specific to your Services, form the entire agreement between us.
19.4 Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else without my written consent.
19.5 Governing law and jurisdiction. These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.

By booking a session, purchasing a product, or continuing to use this Website, you confirm that you understand that Dr. Jacqueline Nonweiler is a research psychologist and certified lineage practitioner, that she is not a psychiatrist, clinical psychologist or other registered clinical professional, that she does not diagnose or treat any condition, that her Services do not replace medical or clinical care, and that her Independent Services — including Subconscious Patterns Sessions — are provided by her alone and are not affiliated with the Modern Mystery School.
